OUR NEW HOUSE!!!

So they say “Good things come to those who wait.” huh? Interesting quote, as we really live in an “I want it now!” society. People have very little patience anymore, when it comes to major purchases or just life-changing experiences (having children, getting degrees, etc.). Why wait, when you can do it now? Over the past year, we have definitely discovered the importance of patience with life. Sometimes, you just can’t hurry life. You really have to wait on some things to fall into place. And, often times, life works out.

So for us, when it came to buying a house, we definitely wanted it NOW! That was where we had zero patience. Our garage apartment was driving us crazy, but in reality, it’s actually been the perfect transitional place for us – cheap, lots of storage, private, and a great landlord. After awhile, we learned to live with it and knew we had to wait on the perfect time to make a move on the house business. So months went by, as we watched dream homes come and go on the market. One day soon we’d be able to start looking at houses, so we just waited patiently. Yes, our day would come…

So… after nine long months, we’re finally taking the final step in settling down in beautiful east Tennessee. We’ve found our dream house!!! We just placed it under contract and this time I think we’ll keep it. haha It is a 3 bedroom, 2 ½ bath tri-level house in West Knoxville, a perfect location for our short commute to Oak Ridge. The house sits on a ¾ acre lot, has many beautiful trees, and will keep us very busy with lawn maintenance (sorry, Randy). It has been fully updated throughout and is completely move in ready. The owners have beautifully maintained this place.

Our close date is set for March 31st, so a quick close shall have us saying goodbye to the ole garage apartment VERY soon!!! YIPPEE!!!
