Workout Weekend!

What an interesting weekend... We moved to OKC this weekend. We're all set up in our friend's pool house for the next 30 days. Special thanks to Karen, Ray, Terry, and Eddie for helping us get settled in. They say you know who your true friends are when you move. This will really be put to the test when we move again at the end of the month. Don't worry, if you were turned down to help last time you will be needed at the end of the month! We'll be in touch.

After we moved we got a nice sunset paddle in at Lake Thunderbird. It felt great to get out and let the sun come down on us.

Then on Sunday, we woke at 5:15am and headed for the marathon. This was my first marathon and most likely not my last. My company had two relay teams and I got a great 3.1 mile leg. I have a new respect for runners. That is not so much fun there mister. Great time, perfect weather, and great people. Julie even got up and ran shuttle for us! What a trooper. Here are some pics!

Well this week should be interesting... We close on our house in Norman this week and will be moving into a pool house owned by a friend of ours. We are excited to finally start on the journey, although we are only moving 20 miles away to start. It's getting more and more real by the second. Stay tuned!

The Tot

Last weekend we were able to get some action in on the Cossatot in SW Arkansas. It was one of the best weekends we have ever had. The mixture of friends, water, food, and adventure was really worth the drive. Julie nailed her first class iv whitewater and no one got hurt. Here are some pics...

This trip meant so very much to Julie and I. Our Godfather of paddling, Terry, took us from flat water beginners to whitewater enthusiasts. He was with us on this trip and it was great to see everyone do so well. I have honestly never had as much fun on a river as I did this past weekend. This was possibly our last hooray on the Tot and it was perfect. Thank you Terry for showing us the way down the river and into this obsession. We look forward to many future trips to Colorado, Tennessee, and North Carolina. Plus we all still need to be saving for the Fu! We love ya Terry!

Knox Knox....

Just thought I would begin our new adventure with a place to log our activities. This way you can be in Knox with us! So let's see how this goes....
